Atlas CORF

The Atlas CORF gives a summary of what still exists of the Maginot Line. The CD contains over 140 maps with the positions of the casemates, shelters, observation posts and works built by the CORF. The sector maps have made basis IGN maps which allows you to quickly determine their position. For each work there is a file giving the armament, a small map and photos of the current situation. The CD contains in fact over 1.250 photosMaking this CD has taken us more than 12 years of research and another two years preparing it. All the objects have been visited in order to check their position. This CD is made for those who would like to visit the Maginot Line without restricting themselves to the beaten path.

Note: the Atlas functions under Windows, but unfortunately we have not tried it under Linux or on a Mac. It can happen that the program does not start automatically. However you can still open the Atlas in your browser.
A personal note: we know it is very easy to copy the CD. It does not contain a password or a Microsoft style security. Nevertheless we kindly ask you not to make copies and order it instead from us. This way we can try to earn something back on a project that has cost us thousands of hours of work. |
