Bambesch

With only 3 blocks Bambesch is a small fort. It has no artillery, only machine guns and anti-tank guns.

On the 20th of June the fort was attacked with a 88 mm gun. This gun has fired on block 2 with the air intake. The fort surrendered that night as there were problems with the ventilation

 Nowadays the fort is open for public..

Armament:
Block 1: (entrance) infantry casemate
Block 2: infantry casemate
Block 3: retractable turret for machine gun
 

Crew: 130 men
Engines: 2 Renaults 50 HP

Situation: between Metz and St. Avold at the N3. In Zimming direction Bambiderstroff (see local signs)
