 The
fort of Battice is located East of Liege near the highway E40 and makes part
of the outside position of forts around Liege. The fort is constructed
between 1934 and 1940 and has 14 blocksArmament: - 2 retractable turrets for two 75 mm canons - 2 turrets for two 120 mm canons - 7 casemates for canal defence In May 1940 the fort was heavily attacked by the German army and surrendered on 22 May 1940 Now a day the fort is partly restored and opened for public |
