Sector Crusnes |

The Maginotline is divided in different sectors. One of this sectors is the sector Crusnes which starts near Longuyon and ends near Hayange (West of Thionville) and is 30 km long. The most important forts with artillery are: Fermont, Latiremont and Brehain. Between these forts are the smaller forts of Ferme Chappy, Mauvais Bois, Bois du Four and Aumetz. There are also 36 casemates, 5 observation posts 1 shelter. | |
| The Sector Crusnes is constructed between 1931 and1936. During the ware the Germans have tried to attack the line on several places near Brehain and Fermont but without result. After the war the main forts were maintained until en 1970. Today all forts are abandoned, only the forts of Fermont and Bois du Four are opened for public. |
