THE TURRETS

The turrets are placed on top of the blocks and casemates. They have the following functions:

- observation

- close defence with machine gun

- defence with heavy machine guns

The turrets have a thickness of 30 cm and are build from nickel-chromium metal. The turrets are an easy target for enemy fire and several turrets have been hide during the war
