The fort of Loncin is situated South West of Liege and defended the railway Liege-Brussels. On the 4rt of August the German army attacked Belgium and attacked the village of Liege. After an attack of 8 days a German grenade exploded in the powder warehouse on the 15th of August at 17.20 h. 350 men were killed by the explosion
