Magletsch

Magletsch is situated North of Sargans. Is was build during the 2nd world war and modernised to modern standards. Since the 1rst of July 2000 the fort is open for public

Armament of the fort:
- 3 turrets for 10,5 cm canon
- 4 embrasures for 7,5 cm canon
- 8 embrasures for heavy machine gun
- 2 positions for machine gun
- 2 positions for mortar
- Several observation posts

The fort has 2 levels. Below is an entrance for lorry, unloading platform and barracks. On the top level are the warehouses, power plant, commando post and accesses to the blocks
