Montmédy

The citadel of Montmédy is the port of Lorraine and was constructed from 1544. During all these years many modifications were done by Charles Quint, Vauban and Séré de Rivières. toegangspoort citadel Montmedy

Today there are two possibilities to visit the citadel:

  • The museum with 2000 years history on fortifications

  • outside and walk over the walls and discover all parts of the citadel. You also have a good view of the environment.
