10 may Germany attacks Holland, Belgium and France. The German army reaches the border with France fast as they go through the Belgium Ardennes.

13 may The German army breaks through the Maginot line near Sedan and cross the Meuse. To make the gap wider the attack the small fort of La Ferté

16 may La Ferté has been eliminated and the complete crew dies

22 may The Germany army attacks the small fort Eth near Valenciennes . The four forts near Maubeuge are destroyed

26 may The small fort Eth surrenders

14 June The sector Sarre is attacked by the German army and surrenders after heavy battles.

14 June The small fort of Haut Poirier surrenders

15 June the army retrieves to the South as the German army has moved far South

15 June The German army attacks Fermont and fires on block 4. The attacked is stopped and during the night the block is repaired

15 June The German army crosses the Rhine near Colmar. Some casemates are destroyed

16 June The German army breaks through the sector Vosges and destroy a few casemates.

20 June The small forts Bambesch and Kerfent surrenders after heavy artillery fire

21 June The small fort Welshof surrenders. An attack on the small fort of Rohrbach is stopped as this fort is supported with artillery fire from Simserhof

22 June An attack on the fort Michelsberg is stopped as it gets artillery support from other forts nearby

25 June The armistice is signed and the forts are forces to surrender although they have enough ammunition and food

4 July  Al forts have surrendered and the crew is taken into captivity

after the surrender the Germans occupied most of the forts They remove engines and metal parts for their own industry In Hackenberg a factory is build They also do tests with explosives

Liberation in 1944

15 November the Germans fire from block 8 of Hackenberg, 44 American soldiers are killed.

16 November the American army sets up an 155 mm canon to destroy the block 8 of Hackenberg. The Germans leave the fort.

13 December the Germans fire from block 5 of Simserhof

19 December After a week of fights the Germans surrender the fort of Simserhof

Beginning of 1945 the American army perform tests with explosives on Soetrich and damage the blocks 1,2,4 en 6.
