Simserhof
Simserhof is one of the larges forts
of the Maginot line. In June 1940 the fort has supported the small forts in the
area.
Nowadays the fort is transformed in a museum. After a movie you visit a part of
the fort in an automatic train. With sound and light effect you get an idea of
the fights in 1940.

Block 1: retractable turret for
machine guns and infantry casemate
Block 2: retractable turret for two 81 mortars and infantry casemate
Block 3: retractable turret for two 81 mortars and infantry casemate
Block 4: retractable turret for machine guns and infantry casemate
Block 5: 3 embrasures for 75 mm guns
Block 6: 3 embrasures for 75 mm guns
Block 7: retractable turret for two 135 mm mortars
Block 8: retractable turret for two 75 mm canons
Engines: 4 Seltzer 265 HK
Crew: 812 men.
