The fort of Villey-le-Sec is an unique fort build by Séré de Rivieres between 1874 and 1879. The fort is part of the position of Toul and build around a village. The fort has 4 parts:
- Battery North
- battery South
- Reduit
- Redan - connection between batteries North and South

The main armament is 2 retractable turrets for two 75 mm canons and de one turret for two 155 mm canons.

Nowadays the fort is partly restored and open for public.
